WPNT 95.7 The Panther first launched to the airwaves March 3, 2007. It became West Georgia's only 100% independently owned Rock & Metal radio station. Its call letters are not affiliated in any way to the previous stations that used these call letters; ours simply means "W" - worldwide, which the "PNT" is abbreviated Panther. The local FM frequency was sold but our listeners couldn't imagine us going away. With their support, we keep The Panther alive and growing beastly with Rock & Metal... FOUNDER & OWNER
The Panther's owner Rana "Angel" Hensley has an amazing crew along beside her and they feature independent, Unsigned & Mainstream artists from the 90s, 2000s and Today's Charting Active Rock Hits. The Panther name comes from its hometown mascot being the Villa Rica Wildcats. With the "Wildcat" in mind, it became the city's known internet radio station that travels around the globe. Although the station is now Located in Stockbridge, GA. as of November 2022.... it still continues today to hold ties to it's Founding hometown of Villa Rica in West Georgia; as well as its previous city from 2017-2022 to Griffin, Georgia.
